Recognizability of Loop the menu bar

Feature Request Description

Hi devs,

Thanks for developing Loop! Allow me to do a suggestion:

My menu bar is pretty crowded with menu bar apps. When I click on an icon, I want to be able to see what app it is. With Loop I can’t see that immediately. The easiest solution is to take up 'Loop' in the Quit option. So, 'Quit Loop'. What do you think?

Thanks for the feature request! I'm curious about your use case - why are you having trouble identifying Loop by its menu bar icon alone?

Most menu bar apps use just 'Quit' since users primarily identify apps by their distinctive icons rather than menu text. I'm interested to hear what makes Loop's icon difficult to distinguish from others in your setup.

By the way, Loop also provides the option to hide its menu bar icon entirely through settings, though I understand that doesn't directly address your request for identifying the app in the menu.

Loop certainly has a recognizable icon. But there are many more circular icons in my menu bar. Basically I think it's wise to put the name of the application in the drop-down menu to make it easier recognizable. Alternatively, it could be an option to let the user choose from a variety of icons including colored ones.
