What happened?

I discovered a bug on the BadBehavior plugin page (BunkerWeb version 1.6.7).

When scrolling down to the bottom of the page, in the Bad Behavior history list section, the page freezes and then crashes with the following error from "Console" :

There is an issue in the BadBehavior plugin UI related to the privacyPolicyCheck element.

The page /plugins/badbehavior hangs indefinitely when the UI JavaScript expects the following checkbox to exist, but it is not rendered in the DOM:

When the label references privacyPolicyCheck but the corresponding element is missing, the JavaScript initialization fails (likely due to a null reference), which prevents the page from finishing loading.

Removing the privacyPolicyCheck reference or adding the missing input immediately fixes the issue and allows the page to load correctly.

This appears to be a UI bug where the code assumes the presence of the checkbox without validating its existence.

Hi @mit-corp, thanks for the detailed report — your second comment especially helped pinpoint the root cause.

The issue was that the newsletter checkbox in the sidebar templates had <label for="privacyPolicyCheck"> but no corresponding <input id="privacyPolicyCheck"> existed in the DOM. When the browser's accessibility engine tried to resolve these orphaned references during large DOM updates (like the DataTables SearchPanes on the BadBehavior history table), it caused the page to freeze.

Fix: each newsletter checkbox now has a unique id matching its label for attribute across all three templates (sidebar-news.html, sidebar-notifications.html, setup.html) and the associated JS selector in setup.js.

This will be included in the next release.
