Editing role incorrectly displays oauth user

Bug description

When editing a role, the user input displays the oauth provider user id's, in this case from google, not the users firstname and lastname. This makes the management of users on a role a lot harder to maintain.

Context on our setup:

• We have added Google as a OAUTH_PROVIDERS
• Running on superset 6.0.0
• We have run the db upgrade and superset init on every update of superset.

Hi @aavanzyl! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the superset team.

This is a known issue. The role edit form's user dropdown explicitly maps user.username as the display label [1], which for Google OAuth users is typically the provider's GUID rather than a human-readable name.

There's a merged PR that aimed to address this — PR #35017: "fix(RoleListEditModal): display user's other properties in table" — which adds first_name, last_name, and email to the role edit modal. However, the fetchUserOptions utility still uses label: user.username for the dropdown options, so the select/search field itself may still show the OAuth ID.

A potential fix would be to change the label mapping in superset-frontend/src/features/groups/utils.ts from:

label: user.username,

to something like:

label: user.first_name && user.last_name 
  ? `${user.first_name} ${user.last_name}` 
  : user.username,

There's also an open PR #34356 that proposes displaying usernames in parentheses alongside names in user dropdowns, which would further improve identification.
