Proposal: Update Test Team Meeting Schedule for Better Participation

We’ve recently had some discussion around our current meeting frequency and participation levels. It seems that having too many meetings might be impacting attendance and engagement.

To simplify and make our schedule more effective, propose a more structured and focused approach:

Proposed Schedule

Week 1: Voice Chat
Week 2: Patch Testing
Week 3: Test Chat
Week 4: Patch Testing (Gutenberg)
Week 5 (if applicable): Test Chat

This approach aims to:

• Reduce meeting fatigue
• Provide clearer focus for each session
• Improve participation and contribution

Discussion Points

• Does this schedule work better for the team?
• Are the proposed meeting types and frequency reasonable?
• Any suggestions or improvements?

Note

Once we finalize and agree on the schedule, we will also need to update the Test Team meeting calendar accordingly.

I think this would work better. Having 2 test chats and 2 patch testing sessions is a balanced decision.
Also a dedicated patch testing session for Gutenberg is something we never did as far as I know.
Overall I like this idea and hope that it will facilitate participation and contribution.

This new structure aims to keep meetings more focused, reduce fatigue, and encourage better participation.

We’ll monitor how this works over time and can iterate if needed based on team feedback.
