Based on the screenshot and your description, the issue is that your GitHub account is linked to an academic domain associated with Babu Banarasi Das Institute of Technology, not your current school, IEC College of Engineering and Technology, which is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. You need to change the school information in your GitHub Education Benefits application. To do this, you should: Select a different school. The screenshot shows that GitHub has already verified your email address and associated it with Babu Banarasi Das Institute of Technology. You need to disregard this verification and manually enter your correct school information. Enter your correct school details. You should manually enter "IEC College of Engineering and Technology" in the "What is the name of your school?" field. Use your official college email. Ensure you are using your official email ID from IEC College of Engineering and Technology for the application. After you've updated your school information, you should be able to continue with the application process. You may need to provide additional documentation, such as a student ID or an official transcript, to verify your enrollment at IEC College of Engineering and Technology. |

Hi! Thanks for sharing the details — this is a pretty common issue, so don’t worry. A few things you can check: Make sure your college email is verified in your GitHub account settings. Sometimes the “Apply for GitHub Student Developer Pack” option doesn’t appear immediately after adding a new email — try logging out and logging back in. Check if your college domain is recognized by GitHub. If not, you can still apply by choosing “I don’t have a school-issued email” and upload your student ID or proof of enrollment. Also ensure your GitHub profile details (name, etc.) match your college ID. If everything is set correctly, try accessing the pack directly from: If the issue still persists, it might be a delay or domain verification issue on GitHub’s side. Hope this helps — let us know if you get it resolved! 👍 |

Hi From your screenshot, it looks like GitHub is detecting your academic email domain, but it is associating it with a different institution (Babu Banarasi Das Institute of Technology) instead of your actual college (IEC College of Engineering and Technology under AKTU). This mismatch is likely why you’re not seeing the proper application/continue option. Here are a few things you can try: |

Hi everyone,
I’m a B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering student at IEC College of Engineering and Technology, affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.
I recently received my official college email ID and tried to apply for the GitHub Student Developer Pack. I’ve already enabled two-factor authentication (2FA), but I still don’t see the option to apply.
Please find the attached screenshot for reference:
